1. Understanding Aspect Ratios
By default, our tool enables the "Lock Aspect Ratio" feature. This is critical for preventing your images from looking squished or stretched. When this is checked, changing the width will automatically calculate and adjust the height to maintain the exact visual proportions of your original photo. If you absolutely need to force an image into a specific box (e.g., exactly 800x800 pixels), simply uncheck the box before typing your numbers.

Why did my image become blurry after resizing?
If you take a very small image (e.g., 200x200 pixels) and try to resize it to be very large (e.g., 2000x2000 pixels), the browser has to "guess" what the missing pixels should look like. This process, called upscaling, naturally results in blurriness. Image resizing works best when you are scaling down from a high-resolution source.
Why did the background of my image turn black?
If you uploaded a PNG image with a transparent background and chose to save it as a JPEG, the transparency is lost. JPEGs do not support transparent pixels, so the browser fills the empty space with black or white. To keep the background transparent, ensure you select PNG or WebP as the output format.
Is there a limit to how large an image I can upload?
Because the resizing happens locally in your computer's RAM, there are no hard server limits. However, attempting to process massive images (over 30MB or 10,000 pixels wide) may cause your browser tab to temporarily freeze or crash, depending on the speed of your device.
