We designed our extraction syntax to be as flexible as possible. You can extract individual pages by typing them separated by commas (e.g., 1, 5, 9). You can extract sequential blocks of pages using a dash (e.g., 10-15). You can even combine both methods into a single command! Typing 1, 3, 10-15, 20 will instantly pull page 1, page 3, pages 10 through 15, and page 20 into your final document.

Most online PDF splitters require you to upload your entire document to their cloud servers before they slice it. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?
No. To protect document security, our local rendering engine cannot bypass encryption. If your document requires a password to open, the tool will not be able to read the page count or extract the data. You must remove the password protection before uploading.
Does extracting pages reduce the file size?
Yes. Because you are discarding unwanted pages, the final PDF will naturally have a much smaller file size, making it significantly easier to share via email or upload to web portals.
Can I split the PDF into multiple separate files at once?
This specific tool extracts your selected pages and compiles them into one single new PDF document. If you need to break a 10-page document into 10 separate files, you would currently need to run the tool multiple times (extracting page 1, then page 2, etc.).
